Bridging the Information Divide: the Methodology for Overcoming Data Silos (MODS)

Silos are ubiquitous in todays enterprises, and efforts to eliminate those silos have been largely ineffective. The traditional DBMS-OO-XML development stack is well-suited for building more silos, but not well-suited for bridging existing ones.
